Live in moments that matter
KRISTA KUJAT
Â
A Fanatic for New PerspectiveÂ
Â
Born and raised in Calgary, Canada, Kujat has pole-danced in New York, salsa-ed in Cuba, and tango-ed in Argentina. She’s also been known to line dance in saloons, thanks to her early immersion at The Calgary Stampede. Rhiah currently dances her way through LA studios in four-inch heels and is rigorously working her way up to doing the splits.
Â
Rhiah’s fifth-generation Canadian mother and German immigrant father taught her how to clean toilet hinges with Q-tips, color passionately inside the lines, and live outside the box (she grew up with gold shag carpet on the walls). She has a wild appreciation for dreaming beyond the status quo, all while soaking up life’s simple pleasures, including fuzzy socks, belly laughs, and breaking the rules.
Â
Rhiah is a winner of the Soul-Making Keats Literary Award and the Independent Spirit Award for film.
Outside of poetry, dancing, and memoir writing, you may find her shopping for lingerie, drinking in the timelessness of smooth jazz, or soaking up the sun on a hike. She deeply values the simple act of putting one foot in front of the other. Her closest friends call her “Rhiah”, which means Queen.
